Here, three of the city’s main arteries — Eixample, Gran Via, and Avinguda Diagonal — meet at Glories Square, the urban heart originally envisioned by 19th-century planner Ildefons Cerda. This point was designed to be the central node of the new Barcelona. For nearly 150 years, this idea remained unrealized — until now. With ambitious new developments, Cerda’s vision finally takes shape.
